Tap UV Systems

Tap UV Systems refer to compact, point-of-use ultraviolet (UV) water disinfection units designed to treat water directly at a single faucet or tap. These systems are ideal for residential settings, cottages, offices, and other low-flow applications such as water fountains and bottle refill stations, typically handling flow rates between 1 to 4 gallons per minute (gpm) .

UV Disinfection Chamber

This is the core component where water passes through and is exposed to UV light, effectively inactivating harmful microorganisms such as Cryptosporidium, Giardia, E. coli, and Fecal Coliform.

UV Lamp

A high-performance lamp that emits UV-C light, crucial for the disinfection process. These lamps are designed to provide consistent output over their entire life span, typically around 9,000 hours.

Optional Pre-Filtration Units

Some models come with integrated sediment and carbon filters to remove suspended particles and improve taste and odor, enhancing overall water quality.

  • Filters

Filters are devices or materials used to remove unwanted substances—such as particles, contaminants, or impurities—from fluids (liquids or gases) by allowing only desired components to pass through.

  • Lamps

Lamps are devices that produce light, typically for illumination, signaling, or decorative purposes. In the context of UV systems and other technical applications, lamps refer specifically to the light-producing component of a system—especially ultraviolet (UV), fluorescent, or LED-based technologies.
